Seit 1751 Ferreira Name ist schon immer Synonym für hochwertige portugiesische Weine. Die Geschichte der Marke ist mit der Geschichte der Entwicklung der Region Douro (im Jahre 1756) und seinen Porto- und Tischweinen (Douro DOC) verbunden.
Dona Antonia, ausgestattet mit außergewöhnlicher Energie und einem seltenen kommerziellen Talent, gab große Impulse für den Weinanbau in Douro und war für ihre Handlungen des Sozialschutzes in der Region bekannt. Ihre Intelligenz und Freundlichkeit verdiente ihr die warme Bewunderung ihrer Zeitgenossen, die ihren "Ferreirinha" (little Ferreira) liebevoll nannten.
Heute, mehr als 250 Jahre später, Ferreira ist "die portugiesische Marke", die Benchmark in ausgezeichneter Qualität Porto und Douro Wein als "Porto Ferreira", "Barca Vellha" "Reserva Especial", "Callabriga", "Quinta da Leda" und "Antónia Adelaide Ferreira", das Symbol für ein Land und eine Kultur, die es stolz ehrt.
