The winemaking operation has been a family activity for several generations, in the beginning they were delivering their grapes at the Adega Cooperativa. In 1999, with the end of the superior studies in Viticulture and Enology of João Paulo Gouveia, son of João Coelho Gouveia, they decide to create their own wine. The vineyards were restructured, others were acquired and a modern wine cellar was built and with a high technology, all respecting the culture of the Dão demarcated region. In 2014 the name of the company became Pedra Cancela Vinhos do Dão Lda</p>

<p>On the tasting notes, Taboadella Villae White Wine displays a bright citrus to greenish-yellow color. On the palate, it's described as refreshing and vibrant yet sophisticated, with a light to medium body, a delicious citrusy acidity, and a suggestive, persistent finish. Áurea is a tribute to Grandmother Áurea, the family connection with Portuguese origins. 100% Bastardo from the sub-region of Dão – Serra da Estrela – at an altitude of 600 meters and in granite soils. The Bastardo grapes ferment in a press with 30% whole bunch and macerate for 15 days. Then they age for 1 year in old barrels. Delicate aromas with fruit character and some balsamic and spice notes. Firm but textured tannins, high sense of freshness and great complexity. It has enormous potential to age in bottle.</p>

<p>The Conde de Anadia wines, originating from the Palace of the Condes Anadia in Mangualde-Viseu, are steeped in rich history, dating back to their inception in the 18th century. Nestled within the majestic walls of the Palace lies 10 hectares of lush vineyards, situated at an altitude of 500 meters on granite-rich soils. The vineyards are beautifully framed to the west by the imposing Serra da Estrela and bordered by the estate's own forest. As part of the demarcated region of the Dão (sub-region Terras de Azurara), the Palace vineyards proudly grow typical varieties of the Dão region, including Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Jaen and Encruzado. These vineyards are where the extraordinary Conde de Anadia wines take root, flourishing under the Portuguese sun before being transformed into the revered wines they are today.</p>
