Historically known in Dão as Negro Mouro, Malvasia Preta is distinguished by its freshness, moderate alcohol content (generally ranging from 11.5% to 11.8%), and soft tannins. This red wine showcases great culinary versatility, making it a perfect pairing for a variety of dishes.<br /><br />It pairs well with traditional roasts, particularly oven-baked goat or lamb. Structured Fish: Thanks to its acidity and delicate tannins, it adapts well to robust fish dishes of Portuguese cuisine, such as Lagareiro octopus or oven-roasted cod with olive oil. Cheeses: It harmonizes with soft and buttery cheeses (like Serra da Estrela cheese), helping to balance the creaminess without overpowering the cheese's flavor.</p>

This location allows excellent thermal amplitudes for a good maturation of the grapes leading to its slow maturation producing wines with rich aromas and good acidity.</p>
