<p>Rubus wines represent another facet of Rui Roboredo Madeira's work, albeit with a concept and market positioning slightly different from his more well-known ranges, such as Beyra or Castello d'Alba. <br /><br />While the Beyra brand focuses exclusively on the extreme identity of the Beira Interior and altitude, the Rubus project often arises associated with a philosophy of signature wines with a very gastronomic profile, elegant and with a strong connection to the Portuguese winemaking tradition, exploring the potential of different terroirs and old vines. The name Rubus makes a scientific and poetic allusion to the botanical genus of blackberries and wild fruits (Rubus), which are very common and desired aromatic descriptors in high-quality red wines.</p>

<p>Quinta de La Rosa Gouveio Branco is a fresh and elegant wine, characterized by firm acidity, citrus aromas, and notes of anise, with a long and harmonious finish. The wine exhibits a bright citrine color, signaling its freshness and visual clarity from the first moment. On the nose, it is highlighted by very clean citrus aromas, with notes of anise and a subtle mineral touch, typical of the schist soils of Douro. In the mouth, it reveals firm acidity and elegant tension, resulting in a harmonious profile. The wine is described as fresh and tense, reflecting the purity of the fruit and the careful vinification, which included fermentation in stainless steel vats and 6 months of aging in used French oak barrels. The finish is long and persistent, prolonging the sensation of freshness.</p>
