Rubus 2024 White Wine

Rubus White Wine is an aromatic and smooth wine, striking a balance between citrus and tropical fruits such as passionfruit and mango. On the palate, it is enveloping and finishes off pleasantly. It is ideal to be enjoyed alone as an aperitif with savory snacks amongst friends, but also pairs well with fish dishes, sushi, curry, and white meats in general.

Rubus wines represent another facet of Rui Roboredo Madeira's work, albeit with a concept and market positioning slightly different from his more well-known ranges, such as Beyra or Castello d'Alba.

While the Beyra brand focuses exclusively on the extreme identity of the Beira Interior and altitude, the Rubus project often arises associated with a philosophy of signature wines with a very gastronomic profile, elegant and with a strong connection to the Portuguese winemaking tradition, exploring the potential of different terroirs and old vines. The name Rubus makes a scientific and poetic allusion to the botanical genus of blackberries and wild fruits (Rubus), which are very common and desired aromatic descriptors in high-quality red wines.
