I februar 2009 erhvervede João Afonso og hans familie en lille gård på 6 hektar i Serra de S. Mamedes naturpark. Det er beliggende i amfiteatret i landsbyen Reguengo i en højde af 600 meter, med udsigt mod syd og Alentejo ved at miste synet af Ejendommen har 3,9 hektar meget gammel vingård (i 1932 allerede eksisterede) opdelt mellem plotter af hvide druer (16) og maling (12), alle blandet og forbundet med olivenlunde (som ikke tillader Alentejo DOC vinproduktion).
Biodiversitet og økologi er projektets motorer: Den nuværende type landbrug er økologisk (Ecocert-certificering) og målet er at praktisere biodynamisk landbrug 100% inden for de næste 3 år. Alt landbrugsarbejde - behandling og vedligeholdelse af jord og planter - foregår manuelt.

- The grapes were harvested for boxes of 14Kg pounds. In the cellar they were crushed and pressed and the must decanted naturally for 48 hours. Fermentation with natural yeasts was carried out in used oak barrels
