The long tradition of Quinta da Lagoalva as wine producer was first shown in 1888, at the Portuguese Industry Exhibition, where it was present with 600 casks of wine.
The 45 ha of Quinta da Lagoalva's vineyards are planted in the best "terroirs" of the Tejo region. The grape varieties are a combination between the best Portuguese and international grapes, such as Sauvignon Blanc, Alvarinho, Arinto, Fernão Pires, Verdelho, Chardonnay; and for the Red Wines: Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Tinta-Roriz, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Tannat and Castelão.
The vineyards benefit of a modern leading system, inspired in the best Australian vineyards. The cellar, also inspired in the New World, allies a great versatility of ecological options to a great concern in terms of effectiveness and efficiency.
The wines are the result of the producer's philosophy, the remarkable characteristics of the varieties and the unique personality of Quinta da Lagoalva's microclimate and "terroir''

Grapes are mechanically harvested overnight and pressed pneumatically. After settling for 48 hours the must is fermented at 16oC in stainless steel tanks. The vinification of the different grape varieties is carried out separately and the lot is blended later
