On the nose, notes of cherry, rhubarb, fresh herbs, spices, and floral nuances mingle with a subtle smoky character and hints of graphite which lend the wine the typical complexity of a red wine grown in the Douro’s schist soils. The palate showcases Niepoort’s signature elegant structure, freshness and acidity. It finishes long, with an almost spicy note and beautiful elegance and acidity
