Clear citrine colour, it presents a young aroma. It has a strong mineral character which gives it freshness, together with notes of stone fruit, citrus fruit, pastry aroma and smoke. In the mouth it is frank, with volume and mineral
Vinification
The grapes were picked up and then selected in the vine and at the winery. Then they were whole bunch pressed, at low pressure
Ageing
80% of the must fermented and aged in stainless steel vats and 20% in used French oak barrels, where it remained for 5 months

<p></p><p>The Quinta do Côtto, in Cidadelhe, relatively close to the Régua, is a property of 75 hectares of vineyard and a plot built in the eighteenth century. The owners of the farm, the Montez Champalimaud family, exclusively produced Port wine until the beginning of the 20th century. In 1980 Miguel Champalimaud launched the first Quinta do Côtto Grande Escolha, consolidating the concept of Douro's quinta wines, which are still rare in the region.<br />The Quinta do Côtto brand has grown greatly in notoriety since then, until it became one of the most classic and prestigious references in the Douro region</p>
