Terra Feita Vintage 2005 shows a deep purple black colour. Classic black fruit aromas of cherry and cassis provide a dense and impenetrable backdrop for wild scents of mint, resin and gumcistus. On the palate the same intense black fruit character merges with rich dark flavours of and liquorice and chocolate

The wines of Terra Feita express sensuous hedonism and earthiness. Their dense blackberry and cassis fruitiness is overlaid with wild herbal aromas, notes of liquorice and tobacco and a palate crammed with thick mouth filling tannins. It is the harmony and tension between the contrasting styles of these two great properties which fundamentally define the character of Taylor’s Vintage Ports

<p></p><p>Deep chestnut brown at the centre gradually fading to amber and a narrow edge of pale straw at the rim. All its complex elements working together in harmony. The nose is intense but finely constituted and the aromas remarkably delicate and ethereal given its great age. Hints of vanilla, cedar wood and cinnamon provide a subtle spicy redolence. On the palate the wine has a light touch displaying bright acidity and perfect balance but holds massive reserves of aroma which emerge on the long finish in a seemingly endless mellow surge. Very few Ports retain such balance and finesse after so many years maturing in cask.</p> <p>Taylor Fladgate VVOP is bets served after a meal, slowly treasured as a desert in its own right.</p>
