Deze Brand is gemaakt in 1815 door twee families, Fonseca en Monteiro. Toen kwam de Guimaraens familie die de firma de afgelopen eeuw leidde en stelde zijn reputatie op als een 'eerste groei' Vintage Port House. En uiteindelijk de Yeatmans en hun afstammelingen die het bedrijf succesvol stuurden door de tweede helft van de 20e eeuw en in het nieuwe millennium.

- Fonseca 20 Year Old Tawny is deep amber in color with russet highlights. Its superb bouquet is a complex marriage of ripe, plummy, mature fruit, warm spicy overtones of cinnamon and butterscotch and subtle oak nuances

- It is an excellent accompaniment to many deserts. It combines well with flavors of figs, almonds and caramel. It may also be appreciated on its own, at the end of the meal, with walnuts or dried fruit, and can be served cool in the summer
