The Companhia Agrícola do Sanguinhal was founded in 1926 by Abel Pereira da Fonseca . Nowadays, this company is dedicated to the exploration of three estates in the demarcated region of Óbidos - Quinta do Sanguinhal, Quinta das Cerejeiras and Quinta de S. Francisco.
Located 40 minutes away from Lisbon, these estates represent the most prestigious Óbidos DOC wines.

Carcavelos' wine ran the world. It entered the most varied cultures. It has even given part of its 'soul' to Port wine in order to give it a 'body' and a superior taste. From this fertile and auspicious period, it fell to levels that without the intervention of the municipality was expected to cease to exist.</p> <p>It took hold and recovered and today, the vineyard continues to produce, on the hillside facing the Tejo, in the land that has always been fertile, shaken by the wind that is typical of us, the grape varieties.
