The Quinta do Couquinho vineyard is planted on rolling terrain on terraces known as terraces. All the traditional varieties of the Douro, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinta Roriz and Barroca are represented in the vineyard.

Located in the warm lands of the Upper Douro, Quinta do Couquinho is an admittedly special place. In the fifth were found two sarcophagi of the Roman time that can be seen by those who move there. A stele of the Chalcolithic, unique in Portugal, found in the farm was donated by the family and can be seen in the National Archaeological Museum in Lisbon.
