Quinta da Cheira is located in the parish of Mazedo, 100 meters from Palácio da Brejoeira.

Due to the sun exposure and microclimate of this region in 1990 was planted the first vineyard, own vineyards, with a small area, in simple cord. The selection of grafts, the geological structure of the terrain, the microfilm and the typical Alvarinha variety, and the realization of mini vinifications were fundamental in acquiring the necessary experience to create the Green Quinta da Cheira Alvarinho wine brand in 1997.
