Arvad was created in 2016, on a property on the banks of the river Arade, overlooking Silves.

There are twelve hectares of land, exposed to the north winds, which allows great daily thermal amplitudes. A Mediterranean climate with an Atlantic influence, complemented by a calcareous clay soil and in which the weight of history is gathered.

It was in this region that wine was introduced into Portuguese territory, brought from the east by Phoenician travelers, took root in the Silves area, through the word of exchange and discovery, and was given to drink in a ritual, as proof of civilization.
