Located in the municipality of Mesão Frio (Baixo Corgo), with a privileged view of the Douro River and excellent sun exposure, Quinta da Barca produces wines of excellence, in the Demarcation region of the Douro. In 1995 the history of this Quinta was modernized. Alcino Teixeira and Maria Helena Alves acquire this property and a new era begins. The entire vineyard is restructured and in 2005 the first harvest is made for the first wine that would be presented in 2007: Busto Reserva Red 2005. Since then, the brand has been growing, with whites and rosés being later presented.
