In 2000, Jose Antonio Costa Marques, independent contractor Frankfurt am Main, Germany, has decided to acquired and invest in two hectares of land in the municipality of Silgueiros to produce high quality wines. Silgueiros is the birthplace of his ancestors and one sub region of the Dao wine region. In 2004 he founded a family business CM Wines and acquired various other excellent individual vineyards. Today, the area covers a total of 12 hectares of vineyards on five separate parcels and 2 hectare of olive groves.
