Diana Silva is a Madeiran young woman, with a degree in Tourism, Commercial Management and Winemaking, who has been working and developing her professional activity in these areas for over a decade. She decided to innovate, starting with her first harvest of 2017 and producing three types of table wines – white, rosé and red – all from one single variety, Tinta Negra. This variety, considered by many to be a lower variety, has been surprising many people, from the North to the South of the country. She baptized them as “Ilha” (Island) and they are classified as Madeiran PDO.

The desire to return to her roots, her love for the land and her belief in the terroir compelled Diana Silva to start this ambitious process. Convinced of the Madeira Island’s potential to produce high-quality table wines, she aims to raise awareness and disclose this region, only known for its fortified wines. Diana has been developing her activity through several partnerships with different winegrowers and the wines, similar to the ones of almost all other table wine producers, are produced in the São Vicente Winery. Her creations are an experience to all wine lovers and enthusiasts, who are lucky to taste the atlanticity, minerality, acidity and elegance of the “Atlantic Pearl” (Pérola do Atlântico).
