Quinta da Foz Grande Reserva 2015 Red Wine

Quinta da Foz Grande Reserva has a intense red color with a violet touch. Lively scent with focus in the ripe fruit, where light notes of jam and a touch of floral. From its passage through French oak barrels, the wine inherited the spicy and smoky notes, which integrate perfectly with notes of ripe black fruits. On the palate it has a flavor intense where the elegant tannin is very persistent. the particular acidity of this wine, together with its volume, gives it an elegant that lasts and that characterizes it well. Wine with great potential aging

All ports at Quinta de la Rosa are made in the ‘house style’ namely slightly drier without any cloying sweetness that is often associated with ports. As in their wines, they search for balance, harmony and equilibrium from their vineyards and they try to enable the grapes to express themselves in the bottle. The La Rosa style is to make well defined wines without too much extraction and tannin

Since 1751 Ferreira name has always been synonymous with high-quality Portuguese wine. The brand's history is intertwined with the history of the evolution of the Douro Region (demarcated in 1756) and its Porto and table wines (Douro DOC).

Dona Antonia, endowed with exceptional energy and a rare commercial talent gave great impetus to wine-growing in Douro and was well-known for her acts of social welfare in the region. Her intelligence and kindness earned her the warm admiration of her contemporaries, who affectionately nicknamed her "Ferreirinha" (little Ferreira).
Today, more than 250 years later, Ferreira is "the Portuguese brand", the benchmark in excellent quality Porto and Douro wine as "Porto Ferreira", "Barca Vellha" "Reserva Especial", "Callabriga", "Quinta da Leda" and "Antónia Adelaide Ferreira", the symbol of a country and a culture it proudly honours.
