Destemmed and crushed, 12 hours pre-fermentation maceration; cold static clarification for 48 hours; selective yeast with temperature-controlled alcoholic fermentation (12-14C) with final quarter stage fermented in 300 L French oak barrels

The owners of the farm, the Montez Champalimaud family, exclusively produced Port wine until the beginning of the 20th century. In 1980 Miguel Champalimaud launched the first Quinta do Côtto Grande Escolha, consolidating the concept of Douro's quinta wines, which are still rare in the region.<br />The Quinta do Côtto brand has grown greatly in notoriety since then, until it became one of the most classic and prestigious references in the Douro region</p>
