Monte da Capela was the result of the ingenuity, wisdom and accumulated experience of its members. The leadership of the largest companies in the wine industry and the promotion of the Alentejo was inspiring for the development of a personal project that took advantage of the best of Pias terroir and Alentejo castes for the creation of unique wines in concentration of color and aromas.

Quinta do Pessegueiro Grande Reserva Red Wine presents a dark ruby-coloured wine notable for its balsamic, forest and star anise. In the mouth, it is delicate with smooth tannins. Spices and back tea take over your palate, giving way to a long-lasting aftertaste. An iconic Douro.

The production of wines is a familiar tradition for Domingos Alves de Sousa: his father and grandfather had already been Douro winemakers.

Inserted in the purest landscape of Alto Douro Vinhateiro, in Ervedosa do Douro, São João da Pesqueira, the Quinta do Pessegueiro winery distinguishes itself by its extraordinary architecture.
Authentic challenge of technology, this cellar has been designed in such a way to use the natural gravity throughout the whole process that turns the grape into wine.
The wines produced at Quinta do Pessegueiro are the result of a complete and balanced project.

Migalha by Palato do Coa Red Wine comes from an old vineyard, aged for three years in used barrels and two years in bottles before being commercialised.

The aroma is very expressive, with red fruits and rock rose, the mysterious and vaguely mineral side typical of old vines. Beautiful architecture on the palate, with an excellent balance between body and acidity and plenty of verve to keep it going in the cellar.

Quinta do Javali PGE White Wine presents light yellow colour with a greenish tinges. An attractive, challenging nose, beginning with a fruity component dominated by citrus fruits, which continues with an expressive aroma of fennel. The palette of aromas continues to reveal itself with notes of aniseed, brioche, butter, and finally the excellent greedy notes of toasted barrel. In the mouth, the bâtonnage the wine underwent improves its excellent structure. This is a wine which will age well in the bottle. The notes of citrus fruits nicely complement the minerality of the terroir, where the noble, exceptional vines manage to combine ancestrality with excellent quality.

This company is based in the beautiful estate Quinta da Silveira, one of the oldest in the production of Port wines in the Douro Superior region, the Municipality of Torre de Moncorvo, and the parish of Adeganha.

The company also owns Quinta do Tourão, with vines of enormous quality, in the same Vilariça Valley, which, due to environmental concern we are preparing for Biological production.

Inóspito Vinhas Velhas (Shale) White Wine is elegant and finely textured, offering a bright citrine color and aromas of white peach, citrus blossom, and subtle mineral undertones. On the palate, it is fresh and precise, with a lively acidity, notes of orchard fruit, a touch of saline minerality, and a long, balanced finish. With 12.5% alcohol and only 6,130 bottles produced, this wine delivers complexity and authenticity — a true expression of an ancient Douro vineyard
