<p>The Quinta Pedra da Cancela is the fruit of the passion for the wine of the Gouveia family. The winemaking operation has been a family activity for several generations, in the beginning they were delivering their grapes at the Adega Cooperativa. In 1999, with the end of the superior studies in Viticulture and Enology of João Paulo Gouveia, son of João Coelho Gouveia, they decide to create their own wine. The vineyards were restructured, others were acquired and a modern wine cellar was built and with a high technology, all respecting the culture of the Dão demarcated region. In 2014 the name of the company became Pedra Cancela Vinhos do Dão Lda</p>

<p>The Conde de Anadia wines, originating from the Palace of the Condes Anadia in Mangualde-Viseu, are steeped in rich history, dating back to their inception in the 18th century. Nestled within the majestic walls of the Palace lies 10 hectares of lush vineyards, situated at an altitude of 500 meters on granite-rich soils. The vineyards are beautifully framed to the west by the imposing Serra da Estrela and bordered by the estate's own forest. As part of the demarcated region of the Dão (sub-region Terras de Azurara), the Palace vineyards proudly grow typical varieties of the Dão region, including Touriga Nacional, Alfrocheiro, Jaen and Encruzado. These vineyards are where the extraordinary Conde de Anadia wines take root, flourishing under the Portuguese sun before being transformed into the revered wines they are today.</p>

<p></p> <p>M.O.B. Garrafeira is a wine that perfectly encapsulates the tradition and distinctive character of the Dão. Made from old vines and benefiting from prolonged ageing, this red reveals an impressive harmony between depth, freshness and elegance.</p> <p>On the nose, it has a youthful yet complex and sophisticated aroma. Notes of noble spices from the barrel ageing stand out, surrounded by layers of ripe fruit and mineral ‘nuances’, with an intriguing hint of hot iron.</p> <p>On the palate, the aromatic promise is confirmed: the structure is full and creamy, supported by vibrant acidity and dense but very well integrated tannins. The wine maintains a remarkable balance, with a fresh and refined profile, leading to a broad, long and precise finish.</p> <p></p>
