The Cooperative

Founded in 1950, the Adega Cooperativa de Mesão Frio was the first to be created in the demarcated Douro Region.

With the initial motto of helping small producers in the region to sell grapes and wine, over more than 70 years of life, it has been transformed to respond to market challenges and trends.

Today, it strictly controls the grapes delivered by its members, having as its watchword the quality of the wines it places on the market (to the detriment of quantity).
