Tasting Notes
Garnet colour. Intense aroma with notes of black cherry and blackberry. Full-bodied on the palate, ripe tannins, long and persistent end.
Vinification
Destemming without crushing, fermentation in stainlesssteel tank at 25ºC and daily rack and return. Malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels where the wine aged for 18 months. 12 months in the bottle before placing on the market.

<p>Quinta da Extrema Ensaios Extremes Touriga Nacional Red Wine is crafted from the finest parcels of Touriga Nacional grapes, situated at an altitude of 450 meters on transitional granite and slate soils. This unique positioning of the vineyards provides the grapes with optimal maturation and balance. The selection and harvesting of the grapes are done manually, ensuring that only the best are placed in 20 kg boxes for transportation. Once they reach the winery, the grapes undergo cold maceration for 48 hours in stainless steel tanks. The fermentation process then begins, lasting between 7 to 10 days at a controlled temperature of 23ºC. An integral part of the process is malolactic fermentation in new French oak barrels which contributes to the robust and complex flavor profile of the wine.</p>
