<p>Meias Verdelho na Anfora White Wine has a light yellow citrus colour. The nose is fresh, with hints of white flowers, peaches, citrus notes and a subtle oxidative note (terracotta, ceramics/clay). It can also have savoury notes. The palate is dry, with good concentration and assertive acidity. It has a citrus flavour, with some clay sensation, a salty touch and a persistent, mineral and elegant finish. <p>Herdade Aldeia de Cima Garrafeira Red is a highly prestigious Alentejo wine made from the Alicante Bouschet and Aragonez grape varieties, recognised for its great intensity and depth. It has a deep, intense ruby colour and a remarkably complex aroma, with notes of ripe black fruit, resin, tobacco and dark chocolate, complemented by nuances reminiscent of the forest and the terroir.</p> <p>On the palate, this Garrafeira Tinto is serious and robust, with great volume and rich ripe fruit well balanced with notes of tobacco and chocolate. <p>In February 2009, João Afonso and his family acquired a small farm of 6 hectares in the Natural Park of Serra de S. Mamede. It is located in the amphitheater of the village of Reguengo at an altitude of 600 meters, looking south and Alentejo at lose sight of The property has 3.9 hectares of very old vineyard (in 1932 already existed) divided between plots of white grapes (16) and paints (12), all mixed and consociated with olive groves (which does not allow Alentejo DOC wine production) .</p> <p>Biodiversity and ecology are the engines of the project: the current type of agriculture is organic (Ecocert certification) and the aim is to practice biodynamic agriculture at 100% in the next 3 years. All agricultural work - in the treatment and maintenance of soils and plants - is manual.</p>
