Quinta do Ameal has won various awards and received coverage in the leading trade magazines. It is devoted to the development of the Loureiro grape variety, having launched Quinta do Ameal - Escolha, which is already considered as one of the best Portuguese white wines on the market. The wine, made using 100% Loureiro grape variety, is fermented and aged in new French oak barrels for 6 months. The floral character of the Loureiro blends perfectly with the wood aromas, adding to the overall complexity. | Pedro Araujo | Pressing of whole grapes in pneumatic press with the addition of SO2 before elimination of must from the final squeezes. Followed by cold decanting of the must for 48 hours (to eliminate dregs). Fermentation at low temperature 10 - 15°C for between 12 and 15 days.
