The Casa de Santar is the most emblematic wine estate of Dão Region, for its history, size and prestige of its wines. The farm is owned by the same family (currently represented by the Countess of Santar, Tereza de Lencastre de Mello) from fifteen generations. Today is integrated in Global Wines group.
The Casa de Santar is also the largest vineyard owner of Dão Region with a vineyard of 103 hectares, of which 90 grape varieties and 13 white grapes
