At harvest time, the grapes are taken to the winery in small plastic boxes. On arrival in the winery they are rigorously inspected on a sorting table to check their quality.Some of these grapes will be sent to the old stone tanks called "lagares" where they are foot trodden in the traditional ways. The rest of the grapes are sent to the new cellars where the grapes ferment under temperature controlled environments using different types of stainless steel tanks.After the harvest, the wines are sent to our different ageing lodges, according to their type and style like Port wine lodge, where the wines are matured in Portuguese oak woods, White and red wine lodge, where the wines are matured in stainless steel tank and Port wine cellar, where the wines are matured in French and American oak.
